Whilton Locks 20th Birthday

Whilton Locks Garden Centre

It’s a big weekend at Whilton Locks as the popular, award winning, Garden Centre celebrates their 20th Anniversary.

A Double Decade of Delights
After moving into the site the year prior, 12 months of (really) hard work meant they could open – Whilton Locks Garden Village – 20 years ago, this weekend. Just look at these photos of the build.

The family run site has proved to be a firm favourite offering everything for the garden, pets, gifts and great food in their recently extended Canalside restaurant.

“It has been a fantastic journey,” says owner Jackie Hunt, “we are supported by so many happy customers that have been with us from the very start and those that have found us, more recently, from our Christmas events including our real ice, ice rink.”

“We have grown – noticeably, very recently to the roadside frontage of the site. You’ll see the brand new building that is called The Lock House. It will be home to super new retailers offering everything from fashion, independent living, a barbers, antiques and collectibles, candles plus office space above.”
