What an opening weekend at Whilton Locks Winter Wonderland!
We opened on Saturday with so many happy faces – and some familiar faces too as First Dates star Merlin visited with his family and Earl Spencer came with his family from nearby Althorp.
For Goodness Skate took place on Sunday. Our competition winners took to the ice and had great fun.
This special skate session was for a number of special people who were nominated by friends and family for being extra special.
It’s impossible to name everyone (feel free to tag yourselves if you spot yourself in the pictures though) however a couple of thank you’s…
Thank you to superstar 9 year old Meghan who was such a great skater she took our video camera around with her on a couple of laps of the rink (we’ll put the film on Facebook during the week), Happy Birthday today to Amelie, thanks for sharing part of your day with us, Alfie John for being awesome and all our winners – we were in tears with the entries and each and everyone of you are SUPERSTARS!!
We are so pleased to have run this competition and so pleased to see you all today.
With our real trees arriving Friday the whole site had a fantastic festive feel and really added to the Christmassy atmosphere and Ice Skaters gave some fabby feedback for our ice rink – you all loved the increase in size.
