These are based on how much you’d like to do yourself and how much time until you need the display (there is nothing worse than having a special event and your hanging baskets still have a couple of weeks until they are looking their best!!) So which will you be? A, B or C?

A. Plant Your Own
This is very much DIY and is really unique to you. We have a huge choice to help – so this method is fun and the results can be incredible. We have an amazing collection of bush and trailing plants to create your very own hanging baskets. Our hanging basket plants are grown on a specialist nursery in the Malvern Hills, that we have been growing with for over 20 years. Grown in 9cm ‘deep root’ pots we are able to achieve plants in flower at a great price – £2.99 each pick & mix and any 5 for £12. Favourites include Trailing Petunia, Catmint, Trailing Fuchsias, Million Bells, Ivy Leaf Geraniums and many more.

B. Pop In With Pop Easy Baskets
Easy Baskets – The easy way to plant a basket or container. If you’re looking for beautiful summer hanging baskets then this is the perfect product for you. The hanging basket planter are little miracles of magic – a pre-grown ‘insert’ with a choice of 15 different designer themes to suit every taste or colourway.

3. Easy
Water well… and watch.

What made you establish a showroom at Whilton Locks?
We are an expanding business and are always on the lookout for the next opportunity. When a showroom became available at Whilton Locks Garden Village, we were keen to become part of the community and deliver great service for people in need.

Peta, brow mummy, says. “Oh it’s pronounced like Peter as my dad was called Peter so I’m guessing I was named after him and assuming he wanted a boy, but got me instead, although being a proud and stubborn Yorkshire man he would never actually admit it!! I am trained and qualified in microblading and HD Brows and Brow sculpting, including lamination, tinting and waxing.”

Lily, lash daughter, thought she wanted to follow a career in horses, however after a short time at college she realised horses was only ever meant to be a hobby for her. So she ditched the wellies and decided to train in something else she was passionate about, beauty! Lily is trained and qualified in all things lashes, lash extensions and lash lift.

“My name is Tanya and I am the maker behind Heart & Soul Candle Co. I launched my business in 2020 and it has developed from candles and home fragrance through to perfumes and skincare. I am also very excited to tell you that my business is getting bigger and I am moving away from the markets stalls into my very own shop.”

So you will soon find Heart & Soul Candle Co (mid March) at The Lock House, the brand new retail building at Whilton Locks Garden Village.

Tanya says “I have lots planned, including running candle making workshops. I am planning on the Heart & Soul shop to be a relaxed destination where you can come and grab a coffee, relax with friends and have a browse of my beautiful handmade products.”

The whole team enjoyed the food too – with wonderful comments saying ‘how lovely and homemade’ it was and the nutritionist (who had the chilli) said it was ‘great to get some veggies’ – and another saying the mac and cheese was even better than her Mums!

The team were suitably fed and watered and happily back on their way, with the famous locks to navigate – seven in total – and Braunston Tunnel. This fantastic challenge runs all week and will be featured on the Comic Relief night with a separate full TV documentary too!

“I just wanted to say a huge thank you for your support of the Jordan North Rowing Challenge for Comic Relief. It was a fantastic week and true showcase of grit and determination – rowing over 100 miles in the shocking chilly and wet weather. Currently the fundraising total is over £700,000 which is just fantastic.

You guys were so welcoming from the very first moment I made the phone call and couldn’t have felt more looked after and cared for. The stops along the route were key for Jordan to rest and also the rest of the crew to take some time out of the chilly wind and recharge, so it was a treat to be hosted by you guys. Every staff member was super lovely, helpful and smily – so a credit to you. I’m sorry we were a bit of a circus with people in an out and all over the place, but hopefully manageable and I hope to be able to come back on another event at some point.

We really appreciate you welcoming us to your venue, so huge thanks from the whole team.”
