Why Alexander Rose Garden Benches Might Be the Wisest Investment You Make This Year

If you’ve ever sat on a garden bench and thought, “This feels like a medieval torture device disguised as outdoor furniture,” then allow me to introduce you to the hero your garden deserves: Alexander Rose garden benches.

These benches aren’t just benches. They’re the Rolls‑Royce of sitting down. The Beyoncé of outdoor seating. The kind of bench that makes your neighbours lean over the fence and whisper, “Ooh, someone’s doing well.”

Built to Last Longer Than Your New Year’s Resolutions

Alexander Rose benches are crafted from premium hardwoods, durable metals, and materials so weather‑resistant they practically laugh in the face of British rain. While your plastic patio chair is busy cracking, fading, and wobbling like a baby deer, your Alexander Rose bench is out there looking majestic, unbothered, and ready for another decade of service.

Warning: May Cause Unexpected Behaviour

Owning an Alexander Rose bench may lead to:

• Neighbours “accidentally” wandering into your garden
• Family members fighting over who gets the good seat
• You spending suspicious amounts of time outside “checking the weather”
• Birds assuming you’re now part of the scenery

Side effects include smugness, improved posture, and a sudden desire to host garden parties.

Our range of Alexander Rose garden benches are now on display at Whilton Locks Garden Village ready for you to fall in love with!

No, not the football – it’s anything in our store, if it’s too big or bulky to fit in your car. Perhaps a brand new BBQ or some Garden Furniture just in time for some alfresco footie watching.

With super stocks and the amazing weather we have… rode around Rugby, been to Brownsover, called in to Cawston, headed off to Hillmorton, loaded up to Long Lawford, cruised to Clifton, hotfooted it to Houlton, and delivered to Dunchurch.

So when a customer ordered a Hartman Eden Rectangular Casual Dining Set, from our website, at 11pm on a Thursday evening, they knew we would deliver.

That’s exactly what we did. Here it is being delivered the next day.

“Spent hours looking online for some garden furniture, but how do you tell if it’s any good or comfortable. Went locally and found a nice set, ordered that evening to receive delivery the following afternoon. Prices as good as anywhere online. Would definitely recommend.” Tom Sabin, Braunston

We bet Tom hasn’t stopped smiling since, especially now the sun is shining and he can enjoy his garden furniture, and we haven’t stopped smiling either with his terrific testimonial. So our van has been to Braunston, seen Southam, headed off to Hardingstone, loaded up to Loughborough, cruised to Crick, hotfooted it to Houlton, rode around Rugby, nipped to Northampton and delivered to Daventry (a dozen times).

Recently, our buyers at WLGV headed out to look at prices at a couple of ‘chain’ garden centres. In comparing the ‘best sellers’ like herbs, strawberries, multipurpose compost, bedding plants and alpines we were consistently better value. Bigger ticket items, such as our Hartman Amalfi garden furniture, we were remarkably cheaper and we offered better quality, better delivery options (most immediate and in stock) and again a far better range.

This is all great news, knowing you are getting the best deals at Whilton Locks. Blooming marvellous you could say and if you take a look at our outside displays you will agree the colour, choice and quality IS blooming marvellous too.
